America West Motorcycle Tours provides self-guided motorcycle tours on the most exciting roads to ride in Western Canada and the Western USA. We are located in Seattle, Washington, a vibrant and exciting city and an easy airport to fly into. Seattle provides easy access to the great motorcycle routes which will take you to the best National Parks in the West: Banff National Park and the Icefields Parkway, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, the California Coast, and Yosemite National Park. We book you into the best hotels along the route and show you the best restaurants to eat at. You ride the best motorcycling roads in Western Canada and the Northwest United States.
Over the past 25 years we have spent many hours riding the best motorcycling roads out of the three cities we have lived in: San Francisco, California; Vancouver, British Columbia; and Seattle, Washington. We have thoroughly explored the national parks, finding the best places to stay and eat. And we share this wealth of information with you. Unlike the large franchise motorcycle tour companies, we have put together all our routes ourselves, and not used some subcontractor. Nowhere else in the world will your find the open horizons and stupendous coastal and mountain vistas that we have in western North America. It’s a fantastic place to ride and as native motorcycling enthusiasts from this area, we are well-suited to take you there.
You ride a new Harley Davidson Motorcyle.
Our fleet consists of well-maintained 2013 Harley Davidson Road King motorcycles. We own and maintain our own motorcycles, unlike with some of the overseas-based tour companies who only provide rentals through a representative. There will be no surprises. You can be assured of a smooth, incident-free tour. Our motorcycles come equipped with two lockable hard side cases and a detachable luggage rack. Harley Davidson is the motorcycle of choice for our terrain, and you’ll feel great riding one here. Come and experience the West on a Harley.
You stay in 4-star hotels and eat at the best restaurants.
We pick our hotels after carefully visiting each one. All of the hotels you stay at will be 4-star quality unless we are in a remote area. Unlike other tour companies, we don’t just book you into the Best Western or the 2 star hotels because they happen to be the cheapest. Most of our hotels are high-quality, privately owned establishments and are sure to have the amenities to help you relax and enjoy yourself after an invigorating day on the road. Our hotels frequently include a spa, pool, fine restaurant, café, pub or wine bar, fitness room, and wireless internet. They are usually within walking distance of the town center or major sight. We give you a list of fine or casual dining options for lunch and dinner, including some of the best ethnic restaurants in each destination. We make sure you will enjoy your time off the bike just as much as on it.
We give you all the information you need for a stress-free and memorable tour.
We pick you up at the airport, familiarize you with your bike, and give you a thorough tour orientation before you leave. Unlike the overseas and big chain tour operators, you do not get an employee or representative of the rental company greeting you at the garage. With us, you get personal attention. Your GPS contains route, hotel, restaurant, rest stop and sightseeing information. Additionally, you receive a well-written and detailed route booklet which describes the route and what to expect from each riding day. The booklet also contains hotel descriptions, restaurant choices, historical information and detailed sight descriptions. No other tour company will give you as much information as we do. With all this information, you’ll be sure to have a better overall vacation with us than if you were just to rent a motorcycle from a dealer and head out on your own.
LYNNETTE STUART
Lynnette Stuart has four years of experience working for a motorcycle tour company in Europe prior to starting America West Motorcycle Tours. She’s lived in San Francisco, California for 10 years; in Vancouver, British Columbia for 5 years; and in Seattle, Washington for 9 years. An avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast, Lynnette has explored the coastal and mountain areas around these fantastic west coast cities many times. Lynnette is responsible for customer service, hotel reservations, generation of the GPS systems and route booklets, and running the office. She has traveled in over 30 countries around the world, some of them by motorcycle.
JAMES WRIGHT
James Wright has been riding and fixing motorcycles since he was a youngster. Originally from the UK, James moved here 15 years ago and has spent every free moment since then riding his Harley all over Western Canada and the United States. He is highly knowledgeable about all the routes that are on our tours and also familiar with many others. James is an experienced tour guide with our local Harley Owners Group and brings considerable knowledge of motorcycle mechanics to our company, maintaining our fleet to its highest standards. When not riding, James likes to hike and ski in the back country.
